Cousins! The last of the free flights

The beginning of November, we took advantage of the waning days of "lap infant" privileges to fly to CA and visit my sister and Isaac's cousins. We had an absolute blast!

We traded cold New York weather for uncommonly warm 90 degree beach weather! Since they live only a couple minutes from the beach, we spent some time with our toes in the sand.

We also found quick relief in a swimming pool with a hose out in back of the house.

Of course we found time for some favorite California tourist stops, such as In-N-Out where Isaac put down an entire cheese burger.

Mostly we enjoyed the fun time with the family. Isaac was honestly a bit jealous of his cousin, the princes', jewels.

Also at a premium were the tricycle and push-car. They would regularly spend the mornings bouncing from following eachother on their various wheeled vehicles, outside and around the house.

We explored some local parks and found they were lots of fun.
A highlight was celebrating Isaac's Birthday, again, since it was technically his birthday eve the day we flew home.

They celebrated in style by taking us to Chuck-E-Cheese. I think Isaac thought he had died and gone to heaven. So many beeping, turning and blinking things. Just putting the coins in the slots was entertainment.

The dancing animals playing instruments on stage and pizza didn't hurt either.

The only troubling moment came when both Isaac and his cousin climbed like monkeys into this overhead play area and were too frightened to climb down. Good think I could still fit through the tunnels to rescue a very distressed Isaac.

At home, the party continued with a homemade cake and presents.
Thanks for the great visit, sis. Isaac will always remember California as a paradise of beach, birthdays and lots of hugs.
