After shoveling Grandma's front porch New Years' day, we flew back to a mild and brown New York. Lo and behold, Santa had been here while we were gone! Isaac and Alexander had a couple more presents to open. Isaac really like this huge gingerbread decorating kit. It entertained him all afternoon. We went up to the Bishop's
Storehouse, and while daddy worked, Isaac, Alex and I played at a near by park. It was beautiful weather and we were all happy to be back in New York.
Isaac had a big suprise his first Sunday back in our ward, he was now a Sunbeam! He liked his new little necklace, but I think he was sad to have to sit in a chair during primary

Isaac has spent countless hours recently arranging and rearranging a car track to accomidate his growing collection of "Cars" cars. He likes to have one crash, then have the others gather around and apply band-aids and cream.
Alexander has become a mobile wonder. Before we left for Minnesota, he was able to scoot around and perhaps crawl a little, but now he is a proficient crawler with many distinct agendas. One of his top priorities is to attack and destroy the toilet paper roll. He unwinds them so quickly and silently that I have given up keeping paper on the roller.
Clifford's Birthday was a January highlight. Apparently even the Stake President knew it was Cliff's birthday because he gave him a new calling as a present. Actually, i don't know how nice of a present it was, but in any case, it is nice start a new project. Cliff's Birthday dinner was lobster tail and berry berry cloud cake--Isaac here is "helping" aka, tasting as we together make, Daddy's cake. yum.
Isaac has been taking "movement" (aka, dance) classes this past year. Check out his moves on the ballet bars. Well, uh, I guess those aren't ballet moves, but he loves it all the same. The impossible happened late in the month--it snowed!!! We had planned to go to the Russian Baths for Cliff's birthday, but our babysitter couldn't make it due to the dumping of snow. So, we just turned it into a family sledding party. We got to test out the new inflatable sled. It was a lot more cushiony ride, and probably faster, than our old stand by flying saucer.
That evening, we made our way to the church for the annual Chinese New Year's festival. Wow, do I love that tradition in our stake. Isaac was both scared and fascinated by the dragon. The dragon dancer came through the audience and nibbled on Isaac's shoulder.

Our friend sent out an invite to the ladies in the ward who had had babies in 2011 to come to her house for a playdate. This picture is the result. Only half of the babies made it, but it was so much fun.

What else have we done this month to fill our time? In house gymnastics. Isaac loves to tumble down a table next to our couch (has entertained him for a week straight!!) Cliff and Isaac have quite a floor routine. Isaac absolutely loves it, and for Cliff, its better than going to the gym.
