Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving at home with the Blair family in Utah. Mom and Dad Blair had recently returned from serving in the Oakland-San Francisco California mission and it was great to all be together again as a family.

Isaac adored having seven adults wrapped around his little finger. He picked up some great tips from the family. Aunty Amber taught him piano; Aunty Brooke praised him for his budding counting talent--we made an on-site visit to Brooke's math class room; and Uncle Preston and Isaac bonded over everything from munching Thanksgiving leftovers (note Preston's compliance with Isaac's bib recommendation as pictured to the right) to accelerated athletic training in the form of running and ball handling.

Grandma and Grandpa were, of course the highlight. Grandma read Isaac his train books over and over, and over... and also gave him the idea of using his arm as a train signal which he continues to do around the house and to the on-coming subway trains. Grandpa lead Isaac in "morning exercises" which included rolling, jumping, stretching and sprints.

Grandpa also drove Thomas the Train. As did Daddy. The large Thomas train was Isaac's dream come true. Note Uncle Preston and Aunty Amber in the first and second train car behind Daddy the conductor.

Another highlight of the weekend was being able to attend the Ogden Temple with Brooke to receive her endowment. It was neat to all be together in the temple. We are so proud of her and glad that we could be with her on her special day.
